About the Role

Reporting to the Superintendent – Purchasing, this role is a great opportunity for a hands-on Procurement Officer who enjoys making a real impact across the business. You’ll be an integral part of the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process, helping ensure procurement activities run smoothly, efficiently, and in line with governance standards. This role covers everything from purchase requisition review to purchase order management, invoice resolution, contractor claims, and compliance reporting.

It’s a varied role where attention to detail, strong stakeholder engagement, and a practical, solutions-focused mindset are key to keeping procurement operations running effectively and delivering value across the business.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Managing the full Procure-to-Pay process, turning purchase requisitions into orders, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Handling contractor claims and compliance reporting, making sure all records are accurate, complete, and meet company and contractual requirements.
  • Sourcing and evaluating supplier quotations, negotiating pricing where appropriate, and working to achieve value-for-money outcomes while maintaining service levels.
  • Raising and administering purchase orders, keeping documentation organised and up to date in SAP to ensure audit readiness and data integrity.
  • Collaborating with internal teams, operations, and suppliers to resolve issues, maintain continuity of supply, and support smooth procurement operations.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, streamline workflows, and enhance efficiency and standardisation across procurement activities.

About You:

  • Demonstrated experience in procurement or a similar purchasing role.
  • Knowledge of best practice procurement processes and supply chain principles.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail with effective problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP desirable) and Microsoft Office Suite.
