About the Role
We are now seeking a Financial Accountant to join our Finance team, based in our Brisbane Corporate Office. Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, this role will play a key part in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting for the Curragh operation.
This is an ideal opportunity for an accountant who enjoys variety, accuracy, and continuous improvement across financial reporting, forecasting, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bringing accuracy and insight to our monthly reporting, ensuring deadlines and compliance standards are met.
- Maintaining the integrity of financial records and general ledgers across the Australia operation.
- Preparing monthly performance reports and variance analysis that drive informed business decisions.
- Managing journals, reconciliations, and fixed asset records with precision and attention to detail.
- Contributing to forecasting and annual budgeting, providing sound analysis to support planning and performance.
- Partnering with internal and external auditors to maintain strong SOX and internal control compliance.
- Coordinating statutory and industry reporting and supporting ad hoc financial projects.
- Collaborating across Commercial, Site, and Corporate teams to ensure financial outcomes align with business priorities.
- Looking for smarter, simpler ways to strengthen reporting processes and improve efficiency.
About You
You will have:
- A degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field, with CA or CPA qualifications complete or underway.
- Minimum two years’ experience in accounting, ideally gained within a professional services or corporate environment• Strong financial reporting and analysis skills, with a solid understanding of internal controls.
- Experience working with systems such as SAP, SAC, TM1, or similar, and advanced Excel capability.
- A proactive mindset and genuine curiosity to understand how financial performance drives operations.
- The ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
