CORONADO GLOBAL RESOURCES is the 5th largest producer of high-quality metallurgical coal in the world. Our global operations are located in two of the largest and most productive metallurgical coal basins in the world, the Bowen Basin in Queensland and the Central Appalachian region of the US.
Curragh Mine, near Blackwater, is one of the largest open-cut coal mines in the Queensland Bowen Basin. Curragh has played a significant role in our region for nearly 40 years as an employer, a business partner and a major part of the Blackwater community.
About the Role
Are you a tech-savvy professional ready to take on challenging projects in a dynamic environment? We're seeking a Technology Project Coordinator to join our team at on site at our luxury 6-star office in Brisbane CBD. This role is perfect for a hands-on expert with a passion for delivering results and driving technological advancements.
In this key role you be responsible for ensuring the successful deployment and completion Technology projects a ensuring the seamless implementation of these projects while maintaining high standards of service delivery. Your role will be interesting and varied, you'll oversee a variety of critical IT initiatives, starting with our Server Infrastructure Upgrade project and a Windows 11 Deployment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure projects, with an initial focus on server and operating system upgrades.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to align project outcomes with operational needs.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot server environments, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Plan and execute the migration to Windows 11, including testing, deployment, and user support.
- Develop and document project plans, timelines, and progress reports.
- Provide technical support and training to ensure user adoption of new technologies.
- Ensure all projects meet compliance and security requirements.
- Utilise and leverage advanced technology tools and platforms to streamline project processes, enhance communication, and improve overall business efficiencies, leading to more effective project outcomes.
About You
Key to your success will be your:
- Proven experience in Server Administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of appropriate project management methodologies, and an ability to provide advice on the use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies, and tools.
- Hands-on expertise in Service Delivery, with a focus on high availability and performance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Knowledge of mining industry operations (preferred but not essential).
