Collaborating with experienced technical professionals, you’ll solve complex engineering challenges and support the continuous improvement of the systems that keep our operation running safely and efficiently.
About the role
Reporting to the Operational Technology Superintendent, you’ll support, maintain and enhance the OT systems that underpin our mining operations. You’ll work across SCADA, industrial networks, servers, virtual environments and mining control systems to improve system reliability, performance and security across site.
What you'll do:
- Design, implement and maintain OT infrastructure supporting production, maintenance, reliability and digital mining systems.
- Manage and enhance OT servers, virtual environments, historians, databases and industrial process networks to maximise system availability.
- Support the integration and optimisation of CHPP, automation and industrial networking systems.
- Develop and maintain OT cybersecurity strategies aligned with ASD Essential Eight, NIST ICS standards and industry best practice.
- Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting, system upgrades and critical operational issues.
- Develop technical documentation, standards and operating procedures.
- Support risk assessments, compliance requirements and critical control management processes.
- Mentor OT Systems Technicians and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
What you'll bring:
- Experience supporting Operational Technology (OT), industrial control systems or production network environments.
- Knowledge of SCADA systems, industrial networking and OT infrastructure.
- Experience configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting networks, servers, switches and associated infrastructure.
- Relevant qualifications in Electrical, Computer or Systems Engineering (or a related discipline).
- Understanding of industrial networking, virtualisation and OT cybersecurity principles.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience with Linux, Docker, industrial communications or mining technologies will be highly regarded.
