What You'll Do

Reporting to the Superintendent Engineering, this role is responsible for providing engineering support in analysing equipment and plant performance, developing maintenance strategies, and eliminating defects. The successful candidate will work closely with our maintenance and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Your role will be interesting and varied and will include:

  • Provide support to frontline leaders in developing problem-solving capabilities through the utilization of innovative approaches, tools, and technology
  • Work with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure the reliability and maintenance of existing and modified infrastructure, including managing technical queries around structural integrity
  • Participate in the execution of design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans
  • Develop and manage acceptance tests and inspection criteria processes
  • Participate in the final check-out of asset structural integrity maintenance works
  • Effectively utilise predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate reliability issues
  • Develop engineering solutions to repetitive failures and ither problems impacting operations
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships through teamwork and mutual respect
  • Strive for continuous improvement in work practices and embrace a culture of positive change
  • Carry out all work safely and in accordance with correct operating procedures

 

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering or Relevant Electrical Trade Qualification
  • Experience in mining, heavy industry, or similar industries
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teams and departments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership skills
