We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mining Coordinator Dragline to join our Curragh North Mining team. Working an 8/6 Roster, reporting to the Mining Superintendent Dragline Drill and Blast, this critical role supports the safe, efficient and compliant execution of dragline operations across the mine.


About the Role

As Mining Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in linking mine planning, technical services, maintenance and frontline operations to ensure dragline activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with approved mine plans. You will coordinate dragline schedules, relocations and cable moves while providing strong operational and technical support to supervisors and crews.

You will also work closely with planning, geotechnical and production teams to ensure bench readiness, dig sequences and short to medium term plans are practical, achievable and aligned to production targets.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee dragline schedules, relocations and cable moves in line with mine plans and production priorities
  • Support safe execution of dragline operations in accordance with the Curragh SHMS and the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act
  • Ensure compliance with dig sequences, geotechnical requirements and approved mine designs
  • Work closely with mine planning, technical services, dozer push, truck and shovel and maintenance teams to ensure integrated delivery
  • Monitor and analyse production and downtime data to drive performance and maximise dragline utilisation
  • Participate in inspections, audits and incident investigations, driving proactive hazard management
  • Provide backfill supervision where required to maintain statutory coverage and operational continuity


About You 

You are an experienced open cut mining professional with strong dragline expertise and a passion for safe, compliant and high performing operations. You enjoy working across technical and operational teams and thrive in a role that requires planning, coordination and hands on leadership.


Key Experience and Qualifications

  • Extensive open cut mining experience with a strong focus on dragline operations
  • Sound understanding of dragline dig sequences, relocations and production drivers
  • Experience using fleet management and scheduling systems such as MineWare, Pegasus or Spry
  • Strong SAP and Microsoft Office capability
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
