Our global operations are located in two of the largest and most productive metallurgical coal basins in the world, the Bowen Basin in Queensland, Australia and the Central Appalachian region of the US, servicing customers throughout the Asia-Pacific, Americas and European regions.

 

Curragh Mine, near Blackwater, is one of the largest open-cut coal mines in the Queensland Bowen Basin and is unique in that it has two Coal Handling Preparation Plants.

 

What You’ll Do

 

We currently have a permanent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor (Draglines), reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent.  In this key leadership role you will  be responsible for the delivery of the planned work required for reliability of Curragh’s key Business assets, specifically the Dragline fleet to ensure that availability and production targets are achieved.

This role ensures all Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance operations personnel are performing work within their competencies and authorisations, are complying with all aspects of the SHMS, standards and obligations, and Coal Mining Safety and Health Act and Regulations.

 

What You’ll Bring

 

Key to your success will be your:

 

  • Experience in the use the Maintenance of heavy mining equipment processing plants, mineral processing plants, or general plant maintenance.
  • Experience in the Maintenance of Draglines or similar heavy earth moving equipment
  • Strong knowledge of statutory laws and regulations governing maintenance at open cut coal mines.
  • Strong technical knowledge in the Electrical mechanical field
  • Strong communication and relationship skills;
  • Strong Leadership skills

These are permanent roles working a 7/7 Roster.
