About the Role

 

As we continue to grow and expand our operations, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Finance Business Partner to join our team onsite at our Curragh Operations.

In this key leadership role, you’ll work closely with site leaders to provide financial insights that drive smarter decision-making and improve operational performance. You'll be key in supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accurate month-end reporting, and helping maintain strong internal controls.

 

In this role, you will drive change and influence and:

  • Partner with site leaders to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Lead the delivery of month-end reporting for our Australian operations
  • Review financial results and preparing reports that explain the “why” behind the numbers
  • Coach and develop a team of operations accountants to strengthen financial capability on site
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and SOX requirements
  • Support labour cost analysis and uploading production stats for local and global reporting
  • Act as a key contributor in the annual budgeting process across Curragh Mine


About You

You’re someone who enjoys working with both numbers and people. You can confidently lead a team, translate complex financial data into business insights, and communicate clearly with operational stakeholders. You know how to get things done and take pride in accuracy, integrity, and collaboration.

 

Key to your success will be your:

  • Solid background in financial business partnering, either in a commercial environment or be ready to take make the move out of private practice. 
  • Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
  • Ability to communicate with influence across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting or related fields.
  • A natural coaching style and passion for helping others grow
