About the Role
As an Environmental Advisor, you will support a range of site-based activities including environmental monitoring, compliance, field inspections, data management, permitting and improvement initiatives. Working across a large-scale operation, you'll gain exposure to diverse environmental programs while developing your technical capability and building a rewarding career in the resources industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out environmental monitoring and field inspections to ensure compliance with site and regulatory requirements, identifying and escalating environmental risks early.
- Manage environmental data, ensuring accurate recording, validation and reporting through environmental management systems.
- Maintain and calibrate monitoring equipment and support laboratory and sampling activities to ensure reliable results.
- Support environmental reporting, permitting (including Permit to Disturb) and GIS mapping to assist operational decision-making.
- Contribute to water management, environmental incident response and contractor-supported field programs as required.
- Participate in environmental improvement initiatives that enhance site performance, compliance and sustainability outcomes.
- Maintaining strong stakeholder relationships with internal and external parties including supporting Cultural Heritage field works.
About You
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Degree qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
- An understanding of environmental legislation, compliance requirements and environmental monitoring principles.
- Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail and data accuracy.
- The ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to balance field-based activities with data management and reporting responsibilities.
