About the Role

 

We’re on the hunt for a switched-on, detail-loving Cost Administrator to join our Maintenance team at our Curragh Mine site in Blackwater. This role is all about helping us keep track of our spend, spotting cost blowouts before they happen, and making sure invoices, POs, and reports are spot-on.

 

You’ll be deep in the day-to-day detail, creating purchase requisitions, reconciling timesheets, supporting vendor queries, and pulling together cost reports that help our leaders make informed decisions. It's the perfect mix of independence and teamwork, with real impact on the bottom line.

 

Your role will be interesting and varied and will include:

  • Preparing detailed cost reports and variance analyses comparing actual expenses to budgets.
  • Identifying trends, patterns and anomalies in maintenance spending
  • Creating purchase requisitions, complete receipting & reconciling PO’s against vendor timesheets and invoices
  • Monitoring weekly spends across all maintenance departments & highlighting over budget spend to ensure it is mitigated early
  • Coordinating with maintenance leadership to ensure adherence to budgets
  • Assisting with gathering data for the creation of maintenance zero based budgets working collaboratively across maintenance & Engineering teams

     

About You 

To succeed in this role, you'll bring strong Excel skills, a solid understanding of SAP, and a keen eye for identifying discrepancies in cost data. You take pride in your accuracy, enjoy problem-solving, and are comfortable working with both data and stakeholders to ensure everything adds up.

  • A sharp eye for detail and a proactive mindset to stay ahead of issues
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across teams and vendors
  • The ability to balance day-to-day admin with bigger-picture cost control thinking
