Date: 7 Nov 2025

Location: Blackwater, QLD, AU, 4717

Company: Coronado Global Resources

Curragh Mine, near Blackwater, is one of the largest open-cut coal mines in the Queensland Bowen Basin.  Curragh has played a significant role in our region for nearly 40 years as an employer, a business partner and a major part of the Blackwater community.

We are now seeking an experienced and highly capable Executive Assistant/Admin Team Leader to support our VP of Operations as well as lead our Administration team across the Curragh Complex.

About The Role

This is a senior, trusted support role working closely with the VP Operations and the wider Operations Leadership team. You will be the central coordination point for the Executive Office while also leading a small team of site-based Administration Officers.

This is not a traditional admin role. It is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving operational environment, enjoys being at the centre of a leadership team, and takes pride in keeping complex businesses running smoothly.

You will manage executive schedules, coordinate critical meetings and site visits, oversee the administration function across our mine site, and act as a key link between leadership, site teams and corporate.

What you will be doing

  • Providing high level executive support to the VP Operations, including diary, travel, meeting coordination and document preparation
  • Leading and coordinating a team of Administration Officers across the Curragh Complex
  • Coordinating Board, Executive and VIP site visits
  • Working closely with operational leaders to ensure communication, reporting and administration runs seamlessly
  • Owning key site programs such as uniforms, community and sponsorship coordination and internal communications support
  • Continuously improving systems, processes and ways of working to make the business run more smoothly
  • Building strong relationships across site and corporate leadership teams

About You

We are far more interested in what you can do than ticking boxes. You may have come from an Executive Assistant, Office Manager, Operations Coordinator or Business Support background.

You will likely bring:

  • Experience supporting senior leaders in a fast-paced organisation
  • Confidence coordinating multiple stakeholders, priorities and deadlines
  • A calm, organised and proactive working style
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Experience leading or coordinating a small admin or support team, or the readiness to step into that
  • Solid Microsoft Office and digital capability, with the ability to pick up new systems quickly

Mining or heavy industry experience is helpful but not essential. What matters most is your ability to operate at a senior level, manage complexity and support leadership effectively.
